The field of view through a video camera is so small that using it to search for tracks would be very difficult. I propose three scenarios for this video.
1/ He was extremely lucky, and managed to spot a footprint through the viewfinder. 2/ He discovered the print whilst searching, and returned with the camera to re-create the discovery to make it more interesting to the viewer. 3/ The video is a fake, in so much as the footprint was placed there by the camera operator or a friend.
